WATCH DRAWING TEST

A very easy way in determining an employee’s cognitive functioning is by means of the “watch drawing test”. The employee is asked to draw a watch. The watch must have 12 hours. You can choose a time the employee must draw e.g quarter past eleven. The rationale behind the test is that a person needs good cognitve function in order to draw a watch and indicate the time correctly. The test can give an indication of the possible presence of delirium, confusion or dementia
